EVERY WOMAN DESERVES A PRAISE

*A short speech by Master Ogunyemi Olakunle in celebration of the World Women's Day, on the 8th day of March, 2017.*

The International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

This is a day for us to ponder and think much on the usefulness and importance of women to the entire human race. A time to ponder on the achievements and positive contributions of women to our world.

As the role of a woman in this world cannot be easily underestimated so also is the need to celebrate them and encourage them to do more. There is a need to provide an enabling environment for their survival.

Without any controversy, women have been of a major help to this world. They are our Mothers, Aunties, Sisters, Cousins, niece etc.

Anytime i think of my hardworking and loving mother, my caring and wonderful sisters and my loving female friends and their positive contributions to my life, i see that indeed, these sets of people needs to be appreciated and honoured.

They go through a lot just to make us happy. Our mothers go through a lot to make our fathers and even we the children happy. Sometimes, they miss their meal for us to meet up with our daily 3-square meal. Sometimes, they let go of some things just to let in time to cater for us. For 9 months we were in our mothers womb disturbing them gallivanting from North to South and from East to West, yet she never complained neither did she make any attempt to abort our pregnancy.

Think of the pains, think of the struggles, think of the suffering, think of the sacrifices, think of the commitment to our survival, think of the unflinching love, then you will agree with me that these sets of people needs more of our love in reciprocal. More respect, appreciation and encouragement.

They are our sidekick and helper that we can't do without. They are a very essential and an integral part of any society. Their strategic position in history has been very astonishing and amazing. Thus, without them we will be incomplete. For a world without women will be a world of crisis.

No wonder God said in his unfailing word that is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him and help meet for him.

How stupid does it sounds to hear a man beat his help meet ? How satanic does it sounds to hear a man abuse, harass a a lady? It is a abnormal, it is a sin and a big crime against humanity. I want to encourage men in this categories to stop and turn a new leaf. Appreciate your thing because if you don't, who will ? Do you even know ladies love people that appreciate them ? Words of affirmation is one of their love language. Make them happy with good words. Take the advantage of a day like this to celebrate them more. Remember, it is not a day thing, it is a lifetime thing.

Yes, i agree that before we were born, our fathers have always harassed, oppress our mothers. This is as a result of ignorance, poverty and a positive mindset deficiency but we can't afford to continue that way now that we are knowledgeable and of the right mindset. We must pioneer a generation that will forever celebrate the women and thereby maintain and sustain its potentials for coming generation to feed on.

Let us give our wives, fiances, girl friends the love support, appreciation and encouragement needed. Let us help them to be the best version of themselves. Let us help them to achieve their God-given dream. Let us expose them so that they can be the President, Governor, Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Vice-chancellor etc.
Let us have the right attitude towards in our relationship with them. Let us not be clouded with wrong mentality, wrong religious belief and cultural way of life that's against giving a woman her rightful place in out lives and at home. If the home front is not right, the system will have a problem.

As a single man, i promise to love my wife to be. I promise to support her, encourage her and help her in the fulfilment of her God-given dream.
