LIFE IS A BUSINESS

OLAKUNLE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
Hello friends !!! After going through the previous article which I believe would have steered up something in your spirit. By now you would have been expecting to see more of such articles on leadership which I will definitely do on weekly basis but first, let me start you up on this background.
LIFE IS A BUSINESS; you are either making profit or loss.
The perfect creator has created every one of us with some important values and assets and his expectation is that we use this to affect lives and make the world a better place. He has loaded us with sufficient resources capable of transforming our lives and giving us the desired future we are all anticipating. Life is the quality that distinguishes a vital and functional being from a dead body. The resources embedded in us is that distinguishing factor. Your ability to manage these resources to a large extent determine how successful you will be in the business of life. In the business of life, every one of us remains a business man and if we really want to maximise profit, we must take note of the following:
Our Unique Nature: We are all created uniquely, wired differently with several potentials and resources. We are blessed with different gifts and talents; talents in biodiversity.
Therefore, there is no point envying our neighbour or friend’s resources but rather focus on ours and make the best out of it.
Understand the Principle of Time: In the making of stars, times and seasons are very fundamental. To everything in life, there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die.

A time to plant and a time to pluck that which have been planted. When you lack the understanding of time, you will plant anyhow, anytime only to discover you have only mis-invested your energy and resources because the time for planting is gone. Now is the time for you to be in the University, strive to make the best of it because once you miss this season, it is gone forever.
Start Early: To be successful in the business of life, there is need for you to start/enrol early. Early to rise, early to shine. Have you ever seen a man at the age of 50 who want to embark on professional boxing? It’s past. The season for his stardom in professional boxing is over. After a particular season of our life, we are no longer considered fit for enlistment, the best we can do is to make a living and not an impact. There are few making impacts, they are the ones they call STARSMost Africans live to make a living, very few live to make an impact because they are late risers; if they are risers at all. Majority of us still think that we are a child even at the age of 20 when our colleagues in other parts of the world are already making waves and impacts. That is why our packaging must be visionary. It’s not about hanging around doing nothing, it’s about making life count on a visionary platform. Remember, you don’t have a spare life, strive to make the most of this only one life you have. Some lives are without bearing and purpose, no future ambition. Such lives tend to lose because a life without a right bearing is a burden. Identify what you are good at and build your empire around it.
Quality Investment: Every business men knows what it means to invest. What you sow you will reap. It is the quality of your investment that determines your height of establishment, accomplishment and fulfilment. As a student, to make the best grade, you need to invest your time, money etc.
I wish you success in all our examinations but remember, LIFE IS A BUSINESS, trade well.
